Sports Labs Ltd headquartered in Livingston, Scotland are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their multidisciplined team of Lab Technicians. The post is lab based and will be operated within our HQ in Livingston,

Sports Labs Ltd carry out the certification of Sports surfaces, products, facilities and systems for governing bodies such as FIFA, World Rugby, World Athletics, FIH (Hockey) and ITF (Tennis) including European and International Standards.

You will be become an integral team member of the busy lab-testing department, preparing samples, testing and managing samples in and out the Laboratory.  The post requires good communication skills and a demonstrable ability to work well in a team environment within the Laboratory.  This position will help to maximise the efficiency of the Laboratory, working alongside the other technicians in managing the flow of testing in and out of the laboratory.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

  • Experience in a Laboratory or similar environment would be beneficial.

  • Hold a valid UK driver’s License.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Good communication skills and be a team player with reliability and flexibility being essential for this position.

  • Heavy lifting may be required for certain items of equipment.

  • The role is varied, and the right candidate will have a flexible approach to the working week which may often require additional hours to meet deadlines and the occasional extra hours on a weekend day.
