Cookie Policy
Sports Labs Ltd
Effective Date: 22/10/2026 | Review Date: 22/10/2027
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains which cookies the Sports Labs website (sportslabs.co.uk) uses, what each one does and how long it lasts. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help a website work, remember your choices and understand how it is used. Some are set by us (first-party cookies) and some are set by other companies whose services we use (third-party cookies).
3. Your choices
Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the website to work, so they do not need your consent. We ask for your consent before setting Statistics cookies, with one exception explained in section 4.4. When you first visit, you can accept or decline them using our cookie banner.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings button on our website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website, including the quote request list, may stop working.
4. The cookies we use
4.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These make the website work and cannot be switched off.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| wpconsent_preferences | Sports Labs | Remembers the cookie choices you make on our banner. | 30 days |
| PHPSESSID | Sports Labs | Keeps your visit connected so pages and forms work properly. | Until you close your browser |
| yith_ywraq_session_* | Sports Labs (quote request tool) | Keeps your quote request list while you browse our equipment. | 2 days |
| yith_ywraq_items_in_raq, yith_ywraq_hash | Sports Labs (quote request tool) | Remember which items are on your quote request list. | Until you close your browser |
4.2 Statistics cookies
These help us understand how visitors find and use the website, so we can improve it. They are only set with your consent.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells us how many different people visit the website and how they use it. | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_X5TV84B9L5 | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your visit so Google Analytics can group your page views together. | Up to 2 years |
| sl_attr | Sports Labs | Records how you first reached our website (the referring site or search engine, any campaign tag in the link, and the first page you visited). If you send us an enquiry or quote request, this is added to the internal email we receive. It holds no name or contact details. | 90 days |
4.3 Marketing cookies
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies.
4.4 Cookies set by our website host
Our website host, GoDaddy, adds traffic measurement to the website. It records page views, clicks and page timing to measure traffic and site performance. The three cookies below are set as soon as you arrive on the website, before you have made a choice on our cookie banner. This is because the tracking is added by our hosting provider and our cookie banner cannot currently hold it back. We are looking at ways to remove it or to stop it running until you give consent.
You can block or delete these cookies at any time in your browser settings.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _tccl_visitor | GoDaddy | Gives your browser a random ID so GoDaddy traffic measurement recognises a returning visitor. | 1 year |
| _tccl_visit | GoDaddy | Gives each visit a random ID so page views can be grouped into one visit. | 30 minutes |
| _scc_session | GoDaddy | Counts the pages viewed in the current visit and when you last interacted with the site. | 20 minutes |
5. Third parties
Some cookies are set by other companies: Google (Google Analytics) and GoDaddy (traffic measurement). These companies have their own privacy policies and we do not control how they use their cookies. The Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on is available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
6. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated. For how to contact us, see the Contact Us section of our Privacy Policy.
